For Donny and Jamie, Cairngorm Asset Solutions (CAS) wasn’t created because the industry needed another EPC contractor. It was created because they believed clients deserved a different kind of one.
Having spent years delivering projects across the energy sector, they’d seen first-hand what worked well and where things could be better. They saw clients looking for contractors that could respond quickly, make decisions without unnecessary delays and work alongside them to solve problems.
Those conversations became the starting point for CAS.
“We offer a more agile, responsive EPC service, giving our clients a practical and cost-effective alternative to larger, less flexible contractors,” says Managing Director Donny.
That wasn’t just a business idea. It was the way Donny and Jamie wanted to build a company.
From the beginning, they agreed that CAS would be built around strong relationships, practical delivery and a team that takes ownership. They wanted clients to know who they were working with and trust that the people leading their projects would stay involved from start to finish.
For Jamie, that approach is what sets the business apart.
“Projects don’t stand still, so neither can we. Our job is to support delivery, work closely with clients and find solutions when challenges arise. That’s what clients expect, and it’s what we’ve built CAS around.”
Building the right team has been just as important as building the business.
“What motivates me most is building the business with a great team, creating opportunities and a culture where people can thrive, while delivering solutions that make a difference for our clients,” says Donny
.
Launching CAS also marked an important step for the wider Cairngorm Energy Group.
“The addition of CAS gives us full EPC delivery capability as a Group, complementing our engineering and consultancy services to provide clients with a complete project lifecycle solution.”
For clients, that means one partner from consultancy, engineering and design through procurement, construction, inspection, maintenance and long-term asset support.
Today, CAS provides engineering, procurement, construction, inspections, rope access, fabrication, maintenance, welding, coatings and project delivery. But the business was never built around a list of services. It was built around a way of working.
